About

Welcome! I’m a Beijing-born filmmaker living and working in Sydney, Australia. I’ve spent my career editing films—everything from commercials and documentaries to feature films—and I love the craft of shaping stories. I got my start in editing straight out of high school, learning on film back when we were still cutting on celluloid. I later studied at the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School, where I earned my master’s degree in film production. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some incredible editors and directors—editors like Mark Warner, Lee Smith, Tim Wellburn, Nicholas Beauman, and directors like Bruce Beresford, Peter Weir, Baz Luhrmann, Zhang Yimou, and Chen Kaige. (Yes, that’s a bit of name-dropping, but these collaborations have shaped who I am as a filmmaker.) More recently, I’ve been producing as well—short films, documentaries, and features. But honestly, what I love most about this work isn’t just the filmmaking itself. It’s the people I get to collaborate with along the way. They’re the ones who bring real soul and magic to every project.
